building restoration
On the north side of downtown, there is a gem that has been a part of Muskegon history since 1923. Vanderlinde Furniture made its home on the corner of Clay and Pine over 100 years ago. In the 1950s, it was Al Perri Furniture for over 30 years until its closure in 2006.
John Essex of Core Realty Partners has invested in several projects downtown through Corepark Investments. One of his latest undertakings was converting this centennial charmer into Muskegon’s hottest mix of restaurant, retail, and coworking office space.
The restoration of the building was focused on revealing the original urban brick walls, tin ceilings, and expansive windows for an infusion of natural light.
